Anonymous shuts down Israeli government websites in response to Gaza blockade

Attack follows threat by hacking group Anonymous in response to interception of Gaza flotilla; websites of IDF, Mossad and government ministries among crashed websites.

Several Israeli government websites crashed on Sunday in what appeared to be a cyber-attack by hackers. The websites of the IDF, Mossad and the Shin Bet security services were among the sites that went down, as well as several government portals and ministries.

The apparent attack comes after the international cabal of hackers known as Anonymous threatened a cyber-attack on the Israeli government’s computers in response to its interception of a Gaza-bound flotilla on Friday.

The IDF and Shin Bet said they were investigating the reason for the malfunction. Security officials stressed that only the external government sites crashed, and that the internal computer networks were unharmed.

In a video that was uploaded to YouTube, Anonymous warns that if the siege on Gaza is maintained, it will have no choice but to go on the attack.

Anonymous said that if the siege continues and Israeli forces intercept additional flotillas, or if they conduct additional operations such as the commandeering of the Mavi Marmara, it will have no alternative but to launch repeated cyber-attacks on Israeli computer systems until the siege ends.

Anonymous has succeeded in the past in bringing about the temporary disabling of many websites, including credit card companies that refused to transfer donations to the WikiLeaks organization.

Several months ago, Anonymous announced that they have the code for Stuxnet, which was distributed on the internet. Security experts usually do not see them as a strategic threat, as they do programmers who are responsible for this type of malicious software.

Anonymous threatened to disable the Knesset website a few months ago, but even if hacking did occur then, the website continued to function and did not suffer any apparent damage.

Last May, Israel established a national taskforce to prevent cyber “terror attacks” by foreign countries on its strategic computer networks. The national cybernetic taskforce was set up in order to protect Israel from possible harm to its defense systems and infrastructure networks.

Operation Paperclip Team at Fort Bliss

Code-name of the American scheme to detain top German scientists at the end of World War II and relocate them to the United States; it was originally called Operation Overcast. The scientists included Wernher von Braun and more than 100 of his colleagues who had worked on the V-2 and other “V” weapons. These personnel and the hardware that came with them formed the backbone of the future American space program.

The origins of Paperclip

In May 1945, after the fall of the Nazi regime, Russian soldiers secured the German atomic research laboratories at the prestigious Kaiser Wilhelm Institute in the suburbs of Berlin, giving Stalin the foundations of what would become a vast Soviet nuclear arsenal. Meanwhile, US forces removed V-2 missiles from the labyrinthine Nordhausen complex, built under the Harz Mountains in central Germany, just before the Soviets took over the factory, in what would become their area of occupation. And the team which had built the V-2, led by von Braun, also fell into American hands.

Shortly afterward Major-General Hugh Knerr, deputy commander of the US Air Force in Europe, wrote: “Occupation of German scientific and industrial establishments has revealed the fact that we have been alarmingly backward in many fields of research. If we do not take the opportunity to seize the apparatus and the brains that developed it and put the combination back to work promptly, we will remain several years behind while we attempt to cover a field already exploited.”

Thus began Operation Paperclip, the exercise that saw von Braun and more than 700 others spirited out of Germany from under the noses of the United State’s allies. Its aim was simple: “To exploit German scientists for American research and to deny these intellectual resources to the Soviet Union.”

Hidden truths

President Truman authorized Paperclip in August 1945 and, on November 18, the first Germans reached America. Truman, however, had insisted that anyone found “to have been a member of the Nazi party and more than a nominal participant in its activities, or an active supporter of Nazism militarism” be excluded. Under this criterion even von Braun himself would have been ineligible to serve the US. A member of numerous Nazi organizations, he also held rank in the SS. Among his senior associates were Arthur Rudolph, chief operations director at Nordhausen, where 20,000 slave laborers died producing V-2s; Kurt Debus, a rocket launch specialist and SS officer whose report stated: “He should be interned as a menace to the security of the Allied Forces;” and Hubertus Strughold, later called “the father of space medicine,” whose subordinates had conducted human experiments at Dachau and Auschwitz, where inmates were frozen and put into low-pressure chambers, sometimes until they died. All of these men were cleared to work for the US, their alleged crimes covered up and their backgrounds glossed over by a military which saw winning the Cold War as its all-consuming priority.

Having been transferred to their new home at Fort Bliss, Texas, a large Army installation just north of El Paso, the German scientists and engineers were given the job of training military, industrial, and university personnel in the intricacies of rockets and guided missiles and helping refurbish, assemble, and launch a number of V-2s that had been shipped from Germany to the White Sands Proving Ground in New Mexico.

When children are murdered, and so many are and so many have been, it isn’t funny. Well, that isn’t necessarily the truth. When Palestinian children are murdered, and hundreds have been in very recent times, Israel’s danced in the streets. In fact their religious leaders justify it. “Kill a child, he may grow up some day to hurt a Jew.”

This is the policy of Israel, killing of children, an official policy sanctioned by the religious leaders of the Likudist coalition. This is the law of the land.

Now 5 Israeli’s are dead. Who did it?

This is where things go very wrong.

It is easier to be stuck by lightning on a sunny day than to catch Israel, government or media, even supposed progressive Haaretz, telling the truth. There must be a law against it, perhaps a physical law, like gravity.

Chances are, this is simply another lie from the Israeli papers, another lie from the Israeli government. The issues of ethnic cleansing in Gaza, the murders on the Mavi Marmara and evidence tying Israel to terrorism in Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan and even the Mumbai attacks, those won’t be taken into account.

So, who killed 5 Israeli’s? Was it murder/suicide?

This is the most likely answer. These are the most common crimes, especially in very religious families for some reason and this was certainly a very very religious family. Extremist religious beliefs and depression/suicide go hand in hand, not just in Israel and not any more or any less with Jews than those of other religions.

The difference here is that those ‘investigating” this crime were tasked with finding a political answer rather than truth or justice.

Was it a serial killer?

Israel has had a love/hate relationship with the concept of “extradition” for the past few decades. Though, theoretically, Israel will now allow extradition of some criminals, hundreds of notorious evildoers have disappeared into Israel, some to reappear elsewhere with a new identity. Last year, Elias Abuelezam, after a murder spree through Michigan and Ohio was arrested on-board an El Al flight for Tel Aviv, sitting on the tarmac in Atlanta.

If the crime is against a non-Jew and the criminal Jewish, religious law in Israel prevents extradition. It is not a crime for a Jew to kill a Gentile. From the Jerusalem Post:

The sole purpose of non-Jews is to serve Jews, according to Rabbi Ovadia Yosef, the head of Shas’s Council of Torah Sages and a senior Sephardi adjudicator.

“Goyim were born only to serve us. Without that, they have no place in the world – only to serve the People of Israel,” he said in his weekly Saturday night sermon on the laws regarding the actions non-Jews are permitted to perform on Shabbat.

According to Yosef, the lives of non-Jews in Israel are safeguarded by divinity, to prevent losses to Jews.

“In Israel, death has no dominion over them… With gentiles, it will be like any person – they need to die, but [God] will give them longevity. Why? Imagine that one’s donkey would die, they’d lose their money.

This is his servant… That’s why he gets a long life, to work well for this Jew,” Yosef said.

“Why are gentiles needed? They will work, they will plow, they will reap. We will sit like an effendi and eat.

That is why gentiles were created,” he added.

In a nation where religious leaders with strong political affiliations to the ruling party speak this openly, where religious protections extend to serial killers, child molesters and criminal psychopaths, is it a wonder that a family would be butchered?

What if Palestinians were responsible? There can, of course, be no way of claiming that. Israel has no history of fairness or due process, no independent judiciary nor any police agency free of religious domination. Though there is considerable evidence that such crimes have been committed against Palestinians by Israelis on a scale not seen since the Third Reich, a crime of retaliation, were this to prove so after an investigation by a respected independent agency, the criminals involved would by any imaginable measure require being removed from society.

The problem we have, however, is that in an apartheid state, one with separate laws, separate everything and nothing remotely equal or fair, a system exercised with considerable brutality, there is an unpleasant ring of irony when the lives of five, valuable lives for sure, lives every bit deserving “liberty and happiness” are valued over the lives of others because of religion or a bizarre perception of ethnicity.

Do we want to go there? It is far easier to prove that Palestinians are former Jews who converted to Islam than to prove that European Jews have an iota of Middle Eastern or Semitic ancestry.

When human rights are mixed with race and religion, everyone loses.

Were we with a police organization, investigating the tragic death of an Israeli family, a Jewish Israeli family as, if the family were Muslim, there would be no investigation whatsoever, we would look for the “low hanging fruit.”

To Israel, mad for propaganda, every act is terrorism. “Cop sense” would tell us to look elsewhere first.

In order to use “cop sense,” we need a respected and independent police agency.

Such an agency does not exist in Israel.

Let’s cut to the chase now. Having described the politically correct version of Rachel’s death, the one insisted on by organized Jewry and the mainstream media, let’s consider the politically incorrect version now, if only in the interests of balance.
Here is Alison Weir, a well-respected authority on Palestine. Having read scores of different accounts of Rachel’s death, including every single eyewitness report, this is Weir’s beautifully succinct summation:

On March 16th, 2003, an Israeli soldier driving a bulldozer two-stories high crushed to death 23-year-old Rachel Corrie, an American nonviolent human rights protester. According to numerous witnesses and photographic documentation, she was killed intentionally.
Rachel and a handful of others practicing Gandhian nonviolence in the Gaza Strip had been pleading with Israeli soldiers for two hours not to destroy a Palestinian family home. Suddenly, the Israeli bulldozer operator began driving his giant bulldozer toward the home, Rachel sitting in the bulldozer’s path. Witnesses report that she then stood up on the mound of debris and dirt pushed by the bulldozer blade and looked straight at the operator through the window. He continued, and she was pulled underneath the tractor, its blade crushing her. He then backed up, running over her again, burying her deeper into the dirt.

If neo-conservative, Israel-first wonks in the Obama administration have their way, the U.S. will open a third front, against Iran, using a successful strategy that has launched four previous wars.

Iran’s ongoing refusal to fully cooperate with the Vienna-based International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) has been well covered by mainstream media. Now, portions of an IAEA report made public recently claim Tehran is still in the market for nuclear missiles. Such a disclosure could increase the odds of a USS Liberty-style false-flag attack on elements of the American Navy’s Fifth Fleet.

As most AFP readers are aware, Israel tried to sink the Liberty on June 8, 1967 while the vessel was in international waters electronically monitoring the 1967 Arab-Israeli War.

Naval false-flag attacks are quite common in U.S. history when American politicians itch for war. The USS Maine suffered a still-unsolved explosion in Havana Harbor in 1898. This event was used as a pretext for the Spanish-American War. The sinking of the Lusitania in 1915-ostensibly by the Germans- was used in Allied propaganda to whet the public’s appetite for hostilities, giving the U.S. a reason to enter the “Great War.”

President Roosevelt and Winston Churchill were fully aware of Japan’s intent to bomb Pearl Harbor, opening the door for our entrance into World War II.

Finally, the 1964 Gulf of Tonkin incident was used by Johnson administration hawks to open up America’s disastrous involvement in the Vietnam War. The National Security Agency later admitted in a 2005 declassified study, “No attack happened that night.”

The Fifth Fleet-consisting of a carrier strike group, amphibious ready group or expeditionary strike group, surface combatants, submarines, maritime patrol and reconnaissance aircraft, and logistics ships run by nearly 15,000 personnel – patrols the Persian Gulf, Red Sea, Arabian Sea, and the East African coast near Kenya.

Although a formidable presence in that ever-unstable region, the Fifth Fleet is vulnerable to destruction by older, less sophisticated Iranian weaponry, as Millennium Challenge 2002, the largest war game exercise in history, revealed. A major participant resigned while the exercise was ongoing, citing the obsession by civilian bureaucrats “that the U.S. military could not and would not be defeated.” In light of that war game’s results, a more cynical observer could argue that the Fifth Fleet is purposely being put in harm’s way.

Documents Show FBI Warned Of Murrah Bombing

The federal government attempted in 2005 to reach a deal with bomber Terry Nichols to take the death penalty off the table in his Oklahoma murder trial if he admitted to making a warning phone call to the FBI the day before the 1995 bombing, according to new documents released under the Freedom of Information Act.

The documents were released to Jesse Trentadue, the Salt Lake City attorney who’s been in a 15-year fight with the federal government to prove his brother, Kenneth Trentadue, was mistakenly beaten to death during an FBI interrogation because he closely resembled a man who ran with Tim McVeigh in robbing banks.

They also corroborate Nichols’ claims that the government tried to get him to admit to making an April 18, 1995 phone call to the FBI warning of the bombing. Nichols claimed he knew nothing of the call.
“What that indicates to me, there is a record somewhere of that phone call and the FBI needs to explain it,” said Trentadue in an interview with KTOK News. “If the call was from one of their informants with McVeigh, clearly, they had knowledge of the bombing and didn’t stop it.”

The attempt to reach a deal with Nichols occurred in 2005 as he was held in the Oklahoma County jail in Oklahoma City.

Nichols was visited by an attorney named Michael Selby who claimed he was working ‘off the books’ in representing the federal government. Selby promised the federal government would make sure its agents would not testify and support the state of Oklahoma’s efforts in pushing for the death penalty if he agreed to three things. The first would be to admit he made the telephone call to the FBI warning of the bombing.

“This was the first I had ever heard of such a telephone call having made made,” said Nichols in an affidavit filed recently in Utah U.S. District court. “And I told Mr. Selby that as well as the fact that I had not made that telephone call.”

The second demand from the government was to implicate his brother, James Nichols, which Nichols refused to do.

The third demand was to reveal the location of a box of explosives taken from the home of Arkansas gun dealer Roger Moore. Nichols refused to comply because he said he knew Moore’s fingerprints would be on the box and he wanted to keep the materials out of the hands of the FBI.

“He was fearful the FBI would come into possession of it and then no one would ever know who else was involved,” explained Trentadue. “And his fears proved true because the FBI apparently found out about the box of explosives hidden in the basement (of the Nichols home) and got the box.”

The explosives were discovered in 2005 in the crawl space of the Herington, Kansas home where Nichols had lived. The discovery came 10 years after Nichols’ arrest and following a search of his home by federal agents in 1995. The explosives were not destroyed until 2008 by the FBI.

FBI documents given to Trentadue reveal fingerprints of McVeigh and Nichols were found on the box along with others whose names were redacted by the government. The hidden box contained three hand flares, a coiled length of red fuse, 3 tear smoke CN grenades, hundreds of detonators, 52 Primadet detonator systems and a book about homemade detonators and another called ‘The Poisoner’s Handbook.”

The fingerprints of Terry Nichols were found on the materials. So were fingerprints of an individual whose name was redacted by the FBI. Hair samples were also studied by experts at the FBI laboratory in Quantico, Virginia. They were found not to be from McVeigh and Nichols and two other names that were redacted.

In reviewing the newly-found evidence, the FBI resubmitted materials taken from the Dreamland Motel in Junction City, Kansas as well as fingernail scrapings from Tim McVeigh.

And the laboratory resubmitted pubic hair samples from an individual whose name was redacted in the documents. Trentadue believes the government was desperate to reach the box before Nichols could make its location known to Homeland Security rather than the FBI. The attorney says it would have shown others were involved as government informants in the bombing conspiracy.

“When you look at these documents, that this was being monitored, this search for the box of explosives at the highest levels within the Department of Justice, right up to and include the White House I think, I mean, this wasn’t your local FBI office handling this. This was being run right out of the main justice n Washington D.C.”

The dozens of pages of FBI memos, complete with redacted names, reflect how the FBI interviewed Nichols in the spring of 2005 in Denver, Colorado. During the interviews, Nichols claimed he knew the identity of the ‘John Doe Two’ but refused to reveal the name for fear his family would be harmed.

“Nichols advisted John Doe #2′s name had not been mentioned during the investigation and, as a result, he feared for his and his family’s well being should it becomg public,” wrote an agent.

Nichols made other admissions in an April 28, 2005 interview with the FBI.

“Nichols revealed the location of a rifle which he also stole from (redacted) and hid in a river bank near Herington, Kansas. He deposited McVeigh’s Arizona license plate in a river north of Herington,” stated the documents.

The same document explained Nichols told agents his family had no knowledge of the Oklahoma City bombing and ‘there was no plan for a second bombing’.

“FBI Kansas City recovered a .50 caliber rifle from a river bank near Herington, Kansas from information provided during the Nichols interview,” stated the document dated June 17, 2005 and sent to the FBI Director’s office from Squad 12 located in Denver. The names of the agent authors were redacted.

Nichols was interviewed again in May, 2005 and Nichols ‘stated he had no knowledge about McVeigh’s involvement in any bank robberies’. Nichols also claimed he had no knowledge of any foreign terrorists or organizations in the Oklahoma City bombing.

The issue of the Arizona license plate raises some questions. It reportedly was the tag on the Mercury Marquise driven by Tim McVeigh when he fled Oklahoma City minutes after the bombing of the Murrah building. Witnesses claimed they saw it hanging by one screw.

Within days, the FBI had conducted a massive ground search by law officers on foot and horseback along I-35 leading out of Oklahoma City. The tag was never reportedly found. When McVeigh was stopped by Highway Patrolman Charlie Hangar on I-35 near Perry, his car had no license plate. That was the reason for the traffic stop. Yet Nichols maintained in the 2005 interview with FBI agents he tossed the license plate into a river near Herington, Kansas.

Trentadue says Nichols told him he discovered the car tag in a storage unit in Herington and discarded it.

The FBI documents also show how agents would not allow Nichols to be alone with Congressman Dana Rohrbacher (R-CA) who interviewed him in 2005 in the U.S. Penitentiary Administrative Maximum prison in Florence, Colorado.

It is Trentadue’s belief that Nichols intended to tell the congressman the identity of John Doe Two, but Nichols would not do so in the presence of the FBI agents.

The matter of the government’s attempted deal with Nichols was first brought to KTOK’s attention after his state murder trial in McAlester where he was convicted and given life in prison.

A court-appointed defense attorney for Nichols, prior to his murder trial, was Rod Uphoff who was present during the meetings with the government intermediary, Michael Selby. Uphoff could only vaguely verify the meetings at the time, saying he was still bound by attorney-client relations and would need the release of Terry Nichols.

As for Jesse Trentadue, he will continue his battle with the FBI and the Department of Justice to learn more of the truth of the Oklahoma City bombing.

“My quest is to prove my brother was murdered because he was mistaken for one of the participants in the bombing,” he vowed. “Once I’m able to prove there were others, including Richard Lee Guthrie who my brother was mistaken for, that gives me the motive for why my brother was murdered.”

His brother was found dead in the summer of 1995 in a cell at the Oklahoma City Federal Corrections Institute. A controversial investigation led to a State Medical Examiner’s conclusion that Kenneth Trentadue committed suicide but the M-E later said he had been coerced by federal agents into making that determination.

“THE COMPLETE GUIDE FOR KILLING GENTILES”

On the Shelf: The Pomeranz Bookseller in Jerusalem is among the bookstores that are selling copies of ‘The King’s Torah.’

In November 2009, the world was stunned to learn of a shockingly popular book in Israel, The King’s Torah. It advocates murder of non-Jews and even their babies, claiming such infants would only grow up to become enemies of Israel. Ha’aretz says the book received “wide dissemination and the enthusiastic endorsement of prominent rabbis.” Some rabbinic authorities have condemned it, but many influential Orthodox leaders have chosen to remain noncommittal. (Ha’aretz, March 23, 2010, “The King’s Torah: A Rabbinic Text or a Call to Terror?”) They recognize that anti-Arab sentiment and sympathy, even with violent militancy against Palestinians, continues its dramatic upswing in Israel.

The book’s primary author, Yitzhak Shapira, was arrested in February 2010 for violating Israel’s law against incitement to religious hatred. However, he is reported not to fear imprisonment because of his influence and stature as a prominent head of the ultra-Orthodox settler movement. That confidence has been vindicated by lack of significant prosecution of Shapira for nearly a year.

Recently, a poll in Israel found a majority of Israelis approve the racist rights of Jewish property owners who refuse to sell or rent to Arabs. (See, Most Israelis Approve Racist Rabbis) Just as significantly, the government of Israel itself seems outwardly divided between bland expressions of tolerance by Prime Minister Netanyahu versus “inflammatory statements” and “unbridled incitement” of the ultra-Orthodox by Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman (Ha’aretz, January 12, 2011, “The Extreme Right’s Incitement Will End in Murder”).http://www.haaretz.com/print-edition/opinion/the-extreme-right-s-incitement-will-end-in-murder-1.336531

As Israel descends into ultra-Orthodoxy, increasingly violent solutions to the “Arab problem” are proposed. A recent Ha’aretz editorial describes an ultra-Orthodox video that recommends killing authorities and police who aid Palestinians attacked by settlers. Factions in the highest levels of Israel’s government, including the cabinet and Knesset, are sympathetic to the militant far right. Ha’aretz: “Scarcely a day goes by… without the coalition joining hands with the extreme right in order to depict non-Jews as hostile elements – and Israeli Human Rights groups protecting Arab rights, as enemies of the state.”

Rising Anti-Arab Militancy

Foreign Minister Lieberman embodies the new anti-Arab militancy. Ha’aretz says he “accused organizations that defend human and civil rights of abetting terror and undermining the Israel Defense forces.” He even claimed “the terror being waged against us from within is more dangerous than the terror being waged against us from without.” Ha’aretz says that if indeed those who defend Arab rights in Israel are now to be viewed as complicit with terrorists then Israel is no longer a democracy. “People who abet terror belong behind bars.”

Especially since last year’s “settlement freeze,” many Haredi call for violence against any governmental authority that restrains Jewish attacks upon Arabs. A December 2009 bulletin from West Bank settlers said, “We’ll expel the soldiers from the settlements.” Their internet-distributed pamphlet, The Jewish Voice, includes a call to “execute targeted operations against the evildoers, invade Civil Administration offices and ransack them, as well as operate violently against the Palestinians, deepen the refusal to serve in the army and not recognize Israeli courts.”

The article was written by co-author of The King’s Torah, Rabbi Yosef Elitzur. Ha’aretz has reported that the Yeshiva (Talmudic training school) he helps preside over at Yitzhar was generously funded by the government of Israel (about $250,000 in 2007-08). A similar announcement by Elitzur says “we remember that the war is over Judaism, and the main enemies are the Gentiles in our country who are trying to conquer it and confusing the minds in crooked Jews who are far from the Torah…the Jews will win by violence against Arabs.” Elitzur is smug that the ultra-Orthodox can back down even the government of Israel, allowing settlers to establish virtually autonomous bastions of violence against Arabs. Elitzur:

To this day, administration inspectors have not managed to enter Yitzhar since the freeze decree. That is because the experience and the heat at Yitzhar make every entrance by hostile elements require large forces and end with much damage to IDF and police property, even more damage to Arab property and persons, and a sector burning on all sides for a few days. When in every settlement a police patrol car becomes an unwanted presence, and administration inspectors understand they have ten minutes to run away before their tires are punctured, the government’s ability to enforce its decrees will drop sharply. With such incendiary rhetoric, it’s not surprising that violence by Jewish settlers against Palestinian farmers and communities continues, with increasing reluctance by authorities to intervene or prosecute.

Haredi, particularly in the West Bank and southern Israel, also constantly harass Messianic Christians (sometimes violently), virtually unrestrained by local police or the government of Israel. (See, Israel’s Increasing Anti-Christianity)

Calls for Murder Come from Talmud

The groundswell of possibly homicidal activism against Arabs and even Jews who defend them is especially dangerous for a powerful reason: It derives its authority from Orthodox Judaism’s most sacred Scriptures, the Talmud and its mystical/revolutionary companion, the Zohar, or Kabbalah, written by the fathers of modern Judaism, the ancient Pharisees.

Perhaps the most highly esteemed Pharisee in the history of Judaism is the “great” Maimonides. He said concerning the “Akum,” or Gentiles: “Do not have any pity on them, for it is said…Show no mercy with them. Therefore, if you see an Akum in difficulty or drowning, do not go to his help. And if he is in danger of death, do not save him from death.”

Speaking of idolaters (those who worship the false prophet Jesus), Maimonides decreed: “Do not eat with idolaters, nor permit them to worship their idols…Either turn them away from their idols, or kill them” (Hilkoth Akum (X, 1)). (1.) Such venerable Judaic authority underlies The King’s Torah. Its homicidal sentiments are literal interpretations of the 2,000-year-old Talmud and Zohar, the highest ethical and spiritual authorities of Judaism.

Israel’s second largest newspaper, Maariv, quotes some of The King’s Torah, whose homicidal recommendations (which the book claims are “halakah,” binding Jewish law) continue for 230 pages.

In any situation in which a non-Jew’s presence endangers Jewish lives, the non-Jew may be killed even if he is a righteous Gentile and not at all guilty for the situation that has been created… when a non-Jew assists a murderer of Jews and causes the death of one, he may be killed, and in any case where a non-Jew’s presence causes danger to Jews, the non-Jew may be killed. The dispensation applies even when the pursuer is not threatening to kill directly, but only indirectly… even a civilian who assists combat fighters is considered a pursuer and may be killed. Anyone who assists the army of the wicked in any way is strengthening murderers and is considered a pursuer. A civilian who encourages the war gives the king and his soldiers the strength to continue. Therefore, any citizen of the state that opposes us, encourages the combat soldiers or expresses satisfaction over their actions is considered a pursuer and may be killed. Also, anyone who weakens our own state by word or similar action is considered a pursuer… Hindrances – babies are found many times in this situation. They block the way to rescue by their presence and do so completely by force. Nevertheless, they may be killed, because their presence aids murder. There is justification for killing babies if it is clear they will grow up to harm us (emphasis mine). And in such a situation they may be harmed deliberately and not only in conflict with adults.

Echoing Maimonides, this work extensively clarifies that “idolaters” who violate the Talmud’s Noahide laws (Christians) must also be executed: “When we approach a non-Jew who has violated the seven Noahide laws and kill him out of concern for upholding these seven laws, no prohibition has been violated.”

Ultra-Orthodox fanatics are not inventing a new Judaism. They are only returning to a literal interpretation of the Talmud/Kabbalah and applying it in the modern anti-Arab, anti-Christian context.

Maariv concludes:

One student of the Od Yosef Hai yeshiva in Yitzhar explained, from his point of view, where Rabbi Shapira and Elitzur got the courage to speak so freely on subjects such as the killing of non-Jews. ‘The rabbis aren’t afraid of prosecution, because in that case, Maimonides [Rabbi Moses ben Maimon, 1135–1204] and Nahmanides [Rabbi Moses ben Nahman, 1194–1270] would have to stand trial too, and anyway, this is research on religious law,’ the yeshiva student said. ‘In a Jewish state, nobody sits in jail for studying Torah.’

How correct that student is. The modern ultra-Orthodox movement has behind it 2,000 years of rabbinic hate of Gentiles (and Christians) as well as possibly hundreds of Israeli rabbis presently supporting it. It is authentic pharisaic Judaism. Such genuine Talmudism bears little resemblance to modern derivatives of Judaism (so popular in the West), such as the Conservative and Reform movements. They “spiritualize” and rationalize away the Talmud’s actual teachings in order to make Judaism amenable to civilized society. That is why such theological “liberals” are loathed and largely boycotted by the Orthodox establishment in Israel.

The government of Israel, maintaining the Orthodox position through its Chief Rabbinate, is founded on the same sacred rabbinic scriptures which give the ultra-Orthodox license to kill. For this reason, stringent repression of ultra-Orthodox terror is unlikely.

Thus, we see that a religion and nation founded upon the depraved teachings of the Pharisees is not bringing forth the fruits of high-mindedness, tolerance, and peace in the way evangelicals have eagerly anticipated for more than a century. Instead, this apostate system, “Babylon the Great,” (See, ‘Babylon the Great’ is Israel) whose forebears tried to extirpate the infant church 2,000 years ago, produces the same bitter fruit: persecution.

This persecution may manifest itself in Israel against Arabs or Messianic believers — or internationally through Jewish-created, Christian-persecuting ADL “anti-hate” laws.

But make no mistake. Persecution from Jewish sources is the wave of the future. Judao-Pharisaism threatens freedom everywhere.

Have you ever wondered what happened to the 56 men who signed the Declaration of Independence?

Five signers were captured by the British as traitors, and tortured before they died.

Twelve had their homes ransacked and burned. Two lost their sons serving in the Revolutionary Army; another had two sons captured. Nine of the 56 fought and died from wounds or hardships of the Revolutionary War.

They signed and they pledged their lives, their fortunes, and their sacred honor. What kind of men were they?

Twenty-four were lawyers and jurists. Eleven were merchants, nine were farmers and large plantation owners; men of means, well educated. But they signed the Declaration of Independence knowing full well that the penalty would be death if they were captured.

Carter Braxton of Virginia, a wealthy planter and trader, saw his ships swept from the seas by the British Navy. He sold his home and properties to pay his debts, and died in rags.

Thomas McKeam was so hounded by the British that he was forced to move his family almost constantly. He served in the Congress without pay, and his family was kept in hiding. His possessions were taken from him, and poverty was his reward.

Vandals or soldiers looted the properties of Dillery, Hall, Clymer, Walton, Gwinnett, Heyward, Ruttledge, and Middleton.

At the battle of Yorktown, Thomas Nelson Jr, noted that the British General Cornwallis had taken over the Nelson home for his headquarters. He quietly urged General George Washington to open fire. The home was destroyed, and Nelson died bankrupt.

Francis Lewis had his home and properties destroyed. The enemy jailed his wife, and she died within a few months.

John Hart was driven from his wife’s bedside as she was dying. Their 13 children fled for their lives. His fields and his gristmill were laid to waste. For more than a year he lived in forests and caves, returning home to find his wife dead and his children vanished. A few weeks later he died from exhaustion and a broken heart.

Norris and Livingston suffered similar fates.

Such were the stories and sacrifices of the American Revolution.

These were not wild-eyed, rabble-rousing ruffians. They were soft-spoken men of means and education. They had security, but they valued liberty more. Standing tall, straight, and unwavering, they pledged:

“For the support of this declaration, with firm reliance on the protection of the divine providence, we mutually pledge to each other, our lives, our fortunes, and our sacred honor.”

They gave you and me a free and independent America.

The history books never told you a lot about what happened in the Revolutionary War. We didn’t fight just the British. We were British subjects at that time and we fougnt our own government!

Some of us take these liberties so much for granted, but we shouldn’t.

So, take a few minutes while enjoying your 4th of July holiday and silently thank these patriots. It’s not much to ask for the price they paid.

Ban On Pets In Bed Is Giving Folks Cold Feet

It has been a terrible winter for much of the country. Snow, snow and more snow. And bitter cold temperatures have swept over the land like a plague.
Just try and get Craig Wilson’s dog, Maggie, out of bed. We dare you.

TV weathermen warn of frostbite. We’re told to stay inside. Dress in layers.

It’s been a winter of don’ts.

One of our neighbors e-mailed the other day to see if we were still alive and asked if we’d like to have a drink with her.

In April.

We accepted.

It’s been a long haul. But now a couple of “experts” have come forth with yet another don’t, a finding that will make the rest of the winter even worse. We’re not supposed to sleep with our pets.

No cats. No dogs. No hamsters. Actually, they didn’t mention hamsters, but I’m sure they’re on the don’t-snuggle-with list, too.

We are left to sleep with humans. What is the world coming to?

Researchers at the veterinarian school at the University of California-Davis are bringing us this bad news. Obviously, they don’t have three-dog nights in Davis.

I’ve always liked that expression, three-dog night. It’s not clear where it comes from — either the Eskimos or the aborigines of Australia — but it’s pretty clear what it means. It’s so cold, you need three dogs to keep you warm.

And to think, I’ve succeeded staying warm with only one. And now that’s one too many.

No kissing man’s best friend, either, the researchers say. Germs galore.

Most nights, Maggie goes to bed early. Then, when she hears us coming up the stairs, she gets up off the floor and positions herself to be lifted onto the bed.

And there, after a good-night kiss, she stays.

She’s never complained. I’ve never complained. It works for us. I’m not quite sure how to tell her the news.

Our neighbor has a 70-pound Portuguese water dog who sleeps with her on winter nights, too. She will not be happy to hear this news. Ollie won’t, either.

I say let sleeping dogs lie.

But the researchers — maybe they’re trying to scare us here — say that among the diseases such sleeping arrangements can cause is the plague.

Yes, like the bubonic plague. The Black Plague.

One of my favorite bands in college was Three Dog Night. Still touring, I hear.

And one of their biggest hits was called Joy to the World, which begins with a line that anyone of a certain age can recite without any prompting.

Jeremiah was a bullfrog. He was a good friend of mine …

Let’s hope they never kissed that frog.
